Our Philosophy
Our philosophy at the Drayton Valley Preschool centers around the importance of purposeful play. It is our belief that children need to explore and express their ideas through many facets such as imaginative play, art work, blocks, conversation and discussion. Through a variety of play opportunities and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children feel safe to grow and develop.
About Drayton Valley Preschool
The DV Preschool is an incorporated licensed, non profit, run by an executive which is made up of parent volunteers and the Preschool teachers. This board is responsible for the administration, coordination and finances of the preschool. This parent run preschool has been providing our community with a fun, exciting, quality learning experience for preschool aged children for well over 30 years.
The Teaching staff have over 15 years experience working within the preschool. They are fun, loving, caring, supportive and knowledgable, with a desire to see each and every child reach their full potential.
Who we serve:
Children who will turn 3 by December 31st
Children who will turn 4 by December 31st
Our Program
Our program is created with all our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Sensory activities, arts and crafts, imaginative and creative play as well as out door play are a few areas of our program.
